This very exciting project can allow us to bypass the discharge tunnel and
construct a power house just downstream of the dam and returning the
water into the stilling basin. A new multilevel intake s
ystem will be installed
in the deep waters of the lake. No changes will occur in the discharged
flow decided each day by the Corps of Engineers, nor is any change
expected in water quality.

On December 23rd, 2010 Fairlawn filed with the FERC the Final License
Application for this project. This license is expected to be issued in early
2012 and construction to commence in the summer of that same year.
