This very exciting project can allow us to bypass the discharge tunnel and construct a power house just
downstream of the dam and returning the water into the stilling basin. A new multilevel intake tower will be installed
in the deep waters of the lake. No changes will occur in the discharged flow decided each day by the Corps of
Engineers, nor is any change expected in water quality.
On March 19th, 2008 we filed with the FERC the Notice of Intent and the Pre-Application Document that initiated the
Integrated Licensing Process. Individuals or organizations interested in participating in this process should contact
us directly. The FERC conducted a Scoping Meeting on June 17th at which we provided an overview of the project
and since then we have filed our plans for the particular environmental and other studies that need to be
undertaken.
