The Loyalhanna Dam was constructed in 1951 by the US Army Corps of Engineers and is one
of the 16 flood control projects in the Pittsburgh District.

Loyalhanna Hydroelectric Company LLC, a subsidiary of AHS has received a Preliminary
Permit to explore the development of this site for electrical generation.

Currently the company is in seeking a technical and cost effective solution for this site.
