AHS has surrendered its Preliminary Permit from the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, under the name of its subsidiary company,
Metro Hydroelectric Company LLC, for this project situated in the
Gorge Metropark between the City of Akron and the City of
Cuyahoga Falls in Summit County.
Opposition from the Metro Park Serving Summit County towards any
commercial activity in 'their' park and a lack of support for a
renewable energy project that could benefit our community makes it
easier for us to take our energies to places where projects like this
are welcomed.
